Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of EventTicketGo as an organizer — the party creating events and selling tickets. If you are buying a ticket, the Ticket Purchase Terms apply to you instead.

Last updated 16 September 2026

1. Who we are, and what we do

EventTicketGo is operated by Sizzle LLC, d/b/a EventTicketGo. We provide software that lets you publish events, sell tickets, check attendees in at the door, and receive the money buyers pay you.

We are not the seller of your tickets. You are. We are a technology and payment-facilitation provider. The contract to attend your event is between you and your buyer. You are responsible for the event itself: that it happens, that it is as described, that the venue is safe and accessible, and that you hold whatever licences and permissions it requires.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information, confirm your email address, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by people you invite to it. Tell us promptly at support@eventticketgo.com if you believe someone else has access.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into contracts. If you are setting up an account for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it to these terms.

3. Fees

We charge a flat fee per paid ticket — currently 79 cents — and 2% of the face value of add-ons such as merchandise. We never take a percentage of your ticket price. Free tickets carry no fee.

You choose, per event, whether that fee is added to the buyer’s total (“passed on”) or comes out of your proceeds (“absorbed”). Card processing is charged separately by Stripe at their published rates, and in absorb mode it comes out of your proceeds too.

We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before any fee increase. Events already on sale keep the fee they were published under.

4. Payments and payouts

Payments are processed by Stripe. To sell tickets you must open a Stripe Connect account through us and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which is a contract between you and Stripe that we are not party to. Stripe’s identity, tax and anti-money-laundering requirements apply to you directly.

Ticket money lands in your own Stripe balance. We pay it out to your bank account after your event, once the refund window has closed — normally seven days after the event ends. We hold that window so refunds and chargebacks can be settled against funds rather than clawed back from you later.

Chargebacks and post-payout refunds are yours. If a buyer disputes a charge or you refund after we have paid you, the amount is recovered from your next payout, or invoiced to you if no further payout is due.

5. Your obligations to buyers

You agree to:

  • Describe your event accurately — date, time, venue, what a ticket includes, and any age or accessibility restrictions.
  • Publish a refund policy before you go on sale, and honour it.
  • Refund buyers in full if you cancel an event, promptly and without being asked.
  • Honour valid tickets at the door, and admit attendees who present them.
  • Comply with the law that applies to you — consumer protection, ticket resale rules, accessibility, tax, and anything specific to your venue or event type.

6. What you may not sell or do

You may not use EventTicketGo for anything illegal, for events promoting hatred or violence, for gambling, for goods or services that cannot lawfully be sold, or to collect money for an event you do not intend to hold. You may not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to send unsolicited bulk email.

We may suspend an account or hold funds if we reasonably believe it is being used this way, if a payment processor requires it, or if the rate of chargebacks or refunds indicates a serious problem. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

7. Buyer data

You receive your buyers’ names and email addresses so you can run your event and contact your audience. You are a data controller for that information, independently of us. You must handle it lawfully, use it only for purposes your buyers would expect, honour unsubscribe and deletion requests, and not sell it. See our Privacy Policy for what we do with it.

8. Your content

Event descriptions, images and other material you upload remain yours. You grant us a licence to host, reproduce and display them for the purpose of running the service and promoting your event, including on our own site and in emails to buyers. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including photographs.

9. Availability

We work to keep the service running and will tell you about planned maintenance where we can. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. When something goes wrong on our side, our priority is that tickets already sold remain valid and that money already taken reaches you.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost goodwill, or for the acts of your buyers, your venue or your suppliers. Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

We do not take responsibility for your event. If it is cancelled, moved, or turns out not to be as advertised, that is between you and your buyers.

11. Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time. We will still pay out money owed for events that have already happened, and tickets already sold stay valid. We may end this agreement on 30 days’ notice, or immediately if you breach section 6.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, and the courts of Missouri have exclusive jurisdiction.
